LUSTER is a trendy bistro in the bustling center of Maastricht, The Netherlands, located on the charming Vrijthof. A ‘must see’ during a visit to Maastricht. The concept is inspired by Mediterranean dishes with influences from world cuisine. In addition to our delicate menus from breakfast to dinner, they serve surprising cocktails, wines & spirits.

Reiters has redesigned the bistro with influences from the pastoral pleasures of the surrounding area and its heritage as an agricultural hub all whilst adding a contemporary twist. Classic bar stools, warm lighting and traditional paneling help revive the restaurant whilst a colour palette of soft blue and terracotta upholstery ensure the restaurant feels relaxed yet elegant.

A central bar crafted from timber and a acrylic stone bar top provides a gathering point for patrons whilst some bar stools create a relaxed atmosphere in which to dine. The three modern chandeliers above the bar make the bar the absolute center of the restaurant area.

“Behind the blossom tree you imagine yourself in a Mediterranean courtyard.”

The blossom tree divides the bistro into two parts. At the front the main restaurant and behind the 'Mediterranean Garden'. Through the glass roof you imagine yourself on a beautiful summer day or evening in a mediterranean courtyard.

The terracotta tiles form the base for this part of the bistro. The white accents on the chairs and in the pots give it a fresh touch. The art on the walls provides the finishing touch.
